Welcome to the Summer League, and a warm welcome to all the new teams that have entered.
The first matches will commence on Tuesday, 30th June. We will be playing under Blackball rules and following all league rules as per the Winter League.
The only difference from the Winter League is that each match will consist of:
* 12 singles frames
* 2 Scotch doubles frames
As usual, the home team will be responsible for providing food for both the home and away teams.
Match Night Reminders
* If a venue has more than one team and/or table, the home teams playing that night have priority use of the tables from 7:00pm.
* The away team must be given access to the match table for practice from 7:50pm.
* All matches should start promptly at 8:00pm.
League Rules Reminder
* No player can play two frames in a row. For example, a player cannot play Frames 1 and 2, or Frames 5 and 6.
* The only exception is between Frames 12 and 13, as Frame 12 is the final singles frame and Frame 13 is the first Scotch doubles frame.
* Players arriving late may still play, provided they are present before their scheduled frame is due to be played.
* For example, if a team starts with the minimum four players, the fourth player must arrive before Frame 8 is played in order to take part in Frames 8, 10 and 12.
* No player may play the same opponent twice in the singles frames.
We wish everyone the best of luck for the season and look forward to another enjoyable and competitive Summer League.
Play well, respect your opponents, and most importantly, enjoy the season.
